Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Banking Assistant 4M FTC to join our busy finance team at Stonegate Group. This exciting opportunity involves weekly cash and card reconciliations across our nationwide estate, working with turnovers of £1bn+. As a Banking Assistant 4M FTC, you’ll liaise with pub operators, audit teams, and external providers to ensure banking accuracy, manage collections, and resolve discrepancies. You’ll also support new pub openings, closures, and ensure SLA delivery with banks and cash-handling services. Key Responsibilities of the Banking Assistant 4M FTC
As a Banking Assistant 4M FTC, you will help manage banking operations efficiently, reduce financial risk, and maintain accuracy across all reconciliation activities.

Download and review weekly bank statements

Reconcile bank and card transactions with pub cash declarations

Investigate and resolve missing or late bankings

Monitor open items, escalating potential risks

Coordinate daily with banks and cash collection providers

Handle phone and email queries from site teams

Support the setup and closure of banking for new pubs

Post corrective journals and assist with period-end tasks

Process customer refunds

Escalate training needs based on recurring errors

Deliver internal banking process training

Manage Zonal Helpdesk banking queries

Organise courier collections and report issues promptly
Required Skills & Experience for a Banking Assistant 4M FTC
This Banking Assistant 4M FTC role is ideal for someone with excellent reconciliation and time management skills who enjoys solving problems and working under pressure.

Meticulous with strong attention to detail

Solid reconciliation experience, ideally high-volume

Able to meet tight deadlines and multitask effectively

Great customer service approach and communication skills

Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate)

Experience with Business Central (Navision) is a plus

Understanding of banking systems and treasury operations

Analytical mindset and keen to resolve queries independently
