Key Duties of a Pharmacy Stores & Goods Receipt Assistant – Band 3

  • Receive and inspect pharmaceutical deliveries in line with NHS policies.

  • Accurately record incoming goods, checking against purchase orders.

  • Organise and store stock efficiently, ensuring expiry dates are managed.

  • Rotate stock and distribute supplies to appropriate departments.

  • Conduct regular audits and stock checks for compliance.

  • Work flexibly between the Brunel Pharmacy and off-site warehouse.

As a Pharmacy Stores & Goods Receipt Assistant – Band 3, you’ll contribute directly to safe and efficient pharmacy operations.

Career Progression and Training Pathway

You will start at Band 2 on the Agenda for Change pay scale. After completing all in-house training and the Buttercups Level 2 course, you’ll be assessed for progression to Pharmacy Stores & Goods Receipt Assistant – Band 3. All training is supported by our Pharmacy Learning and Development team, with hands-on supervision and clear growth milestones.

What We Look For in a Pharmacy Stores & Goods Receipt Assistant – Band 3

  • Minimum of GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above).

  • Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office).

  • Experience in a warehouse or stock control environment.

  • Ability to manage stock discrepancies accurately.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Comfortable with manual handling and travelling between sites.

  • Full clean UK driving license and own transportation required.
