Company Overview
Sierra Pacific Industries, a large, third-generation family-owned lumber and millwork producer, seeks a qualified Accountant in Red Bluff, California. This role is integral to our accounting team, supporting our Trucking and Windows divisions through collaboration with division and accounting management.
This role involves managing all accounting functions for a specific division, including preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, handling account reconciliations, managing fixed assets, and performing the year-end close with related audit and tax schedules. Key responsibilities also include hiring, training, and managing office staff, ensuring adherence to internal controls, collaborating with Logistics and other company teams, and providing financial analysis for various projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA is a plus).
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience is preferred, especially within manufacturing.
- Demonstrated excellence in analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and discretion with confidential information.
