What You’ll Do
As an RN Healthcare Facility Surveyor, you will conduct federal compliance surveys for a variety of healthcare settings, ensuring facilities meet CMS standards for quality of care. This position is 100% remote with frequent travel (up to 75%) and involves both independent work and team-based collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform on-site surveys of Medicare and Medicaid-certified healthcare facilities, including long-term care, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers (ASC), hospices, psychiatric residential treatment facilities (PRTF), ICFs/IID, ESRD centers, and more.

Conduct pre-survey preparation, facility walkthroughs, observations, chart reviews, and staff/resident interviews.

Assess compliance with federal regulations and standards of care.

Identify deficiencies and communicate findings to facility leadership during exit conferences.

Review and evaluate plans of correction for acceptability and monitor for implementation.

Participate in follow-up visits and monitoring activities.

Contribute to internal training efforts and participate in relevant workgroups.
What You Bring
Minimum Requirements:

Active RN license (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required)

Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a healthcare facility surveyor, specifically in long-term care settings

Strong understanding of CMS survey protocols and healthcare regulations
-
Demonstrated ability to lead or collaborate within survey teams

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Capable of independently setting priorities and resolving conflicts professionally
-
Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% regularly
-
Completion of CMS Basic Long-Term Care Training and SMQT certification is highly preferred
