Job Summary
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a key role within the Internal Audit (IA) team, contributing to the department’s success and the broader goals of the organization. This position offers opportunities for professional growth through leading risk-based assurance and advisory engagements, managing internal control testing for SOX compliance, and driving initiatives that enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.

Compensation Range: $76,842 – $100,034 annually + bonus eligibility

Key Responsibilities
Audit & Business Knowledge
-
Lead audits across business units, including financial, operational, and IT areas.

Recommend improvements to internal controls and educate teams on best practices.

Stay informed on industry and organizational risks to guide audit planning.

Understand business and industry trends to deliver relevant audit insights.
Core Audit Execution
-
Independently lead audits from planning to reporting.
-
Design and execute test plans, analyze results, and develop actionable recommendations.

Draft clear, concise, and accurate audit reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Perform risk assessments using data, interviews, and external research.
Stakeholder Engagement
-
Build strong relationships across departments and levels of the organization.

Communicate effectively and adapt messaging to suit varied audiences.

Proactively address conflicts and negotiate audit outcomes with management.
Leadership & Development

Coach and support junior team members.

Actively seek feedback and pursue professional development goals.

SOX Compliance

Manage and execute SOX controls testing (business process and IT general controls).

Coordinate support activities with external auditors.
Additional Duties

Manage multiple priorities while meeting audit timelines and standards.

Identify trends across audits and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform other audit-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
-
3–6 years of progressive experience in public accounting, internal/external audit, or IT audit.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field with analytical focus.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred:
-
Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE) or working toward one.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SQL, and data analytics tools.

Basic understanding of IT systems, application, and general controls.
