Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our team. As the right-hand to the Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen team, ensure the smooth operation of kitchen services, and maintain the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead kitchen shifts, ensuring efficient and safe kitchen operations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
  • Support the Head Chef in stock management, kitchen planning, and team management.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and timely service.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting skill development.
  • Monitor kitchen KPIs, including labour, stock control, and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the management team to enhance menu offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with experience working with fresh ingredients.
  • Good understanding of kitchen management, including cost control and hygiene standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with KPI management, rota scheduling, and team training.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
