Senior Property Accountant

Company Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the financial aspects of property management, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, financial analysis expertise, and the ability to manage multiple property accounts effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for multiple properties.

• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals.

• Perform journal entries and maintain accurate financial transaction records.

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify trends.

• Ensure compliance with technical accounting standards and securities law regulations.

• Use Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.

• Collaborate with property management teams to provide insights on financial performance.

• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for property operations.

• Apply double-entry bookkeeping principles to ensure accurate record-keeping.

• Utilize PeopleSoft or similar accounting software to manage financial operations effectively.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in financial report writing with exceptional attention to detail.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, particularly accounts payable processes.

• Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, reporting, and financial modeling.

• Experience with journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Ability to conduct thorough financial analysis to inform business decisions.

• Knowledge of technical accounting standards and securities law is preferred.

• Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping practices is essential.

• Experience with PeopleSoft or similar accounting software is a plus.
