Our newest site, Wick Park in London, is home to over 200 students – and we need your expertise to keep it running safely, smoothly, and to the highest standards.
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced Maintenance Technician who will play a crucial role in maintaining the buildings, grounds, and facilities – ensuring our residents enjoy a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment.
Your Role & Key Responsibilities
Repairs & Maintenance

Carry out general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, and decorating

Monitor the electronic maintenance system, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and to a high standard

Keep detailed maintenance records and communicate updates to tenants where needed

Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts and materials
Building & Facilities Compliance

Perform statutory safety checks (e.g., emergency lighting, fire alarms) and maintain records

Ensure all contractor activity is logged with appropriate RAMS and permits
-
Support out-of-hours issues where an on-site presence is required
Site Appearance & Cleanliness

Inspect and maintain common areas to a high standard of cleanliness and repair

Oversee and support the cleaning regime in collaboration with the Accommodation Manager

Manage refuse disposal and ensure bins and waste areas are clean and hazard-free
Grounds Maintenance

Ensure outdoor areas are tidy, hazard-free, and well maintained

Supervise external contractors carrying out garden or grounds-related work
Health & Safety

Maintain all statutory testing and health & safety records

Conduct contractor inductions, and ensure insurance, qualifications, and risk assessments are up to date

Report accidents or incidents in line with company procedures

Work with the Facilities & Compliance Manager to review risk assessments and safe systems of work
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Building maintenance or facilities management experience (Required)

Basic City & Guilds or NVQ qualification (minimum)

Experience with property repairs, building services, or site maintenance
Desirable:
-
Health & Safety, First Aid, or Legionella training
-
Experience in student accommodation, hospitality, or residential property

Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
