This is a fantastic opportunity to join WQE, a dynamic and high-achieving Sixth Form College in Leicester. With two modern campuses located on University Road and Regent Road, we are committed to providing students with outstanding academic support, enrichment, and welfare services.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to support the Head of Welfare and Skills in delivering an effective and responsive welfare and skills provision for our students. Your work will have a direct impact on the student experience, promoting both academic success and personal wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the leadership and delivery of the College’s welfare and skills function

  • Provide responsive, confidential support to students

  • Promote student wellbeing and foster a positive, inclusive environment

  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to support student needs

  • Help embed a culture of continuous improvement and high standards

  • Contribute to safeguarding and promote student welfare in line with college policies

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 2 A Levels or Level 3 equivalent qualifications

  • English and Maths qualifications

  • Experience working with young people in a welfare or support role, maintaining confidentiality

  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an educational setting

  • Understanding of safeguarding and student support frameworks
