About the Role

Are you passionate about global education and helping students achieve their academic dreams abroad?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Academic Counsellor to join our growing international education consultancy team. In this vital role, you will provide expert guidance to prospective international students, helping them navigate study options, application procedures, and visa processes for destinations including the UK, Canada, Australia, the USA, and Europe.

You’ll work closely with students from inquiry through to enrollment, ensuring a smooth journey and successful placement at top-tier institutions around the world.

Key Responsibilities

Student Support & Counselling

• Assess academic background, career goals, and preferences of prospective students

• Guide students in choosing the right study destination, institution, and program

• Provide detailed advice on course structures, entry requirements, and intake options

• Support students with academic, financial, or personal challenges during the application process

Application & Admissions

• Assist students in completing accurate and compelling applications

• Guide students in writing personal statements, CVs, and academic essays

• Liaise with international university partners to track and update application statuses

• Educate students on visa requirements, assist with document compilation, and prepare them for pre-CAS and visa interviews

Relationship Management & Conversion

• Maintain regular communication with students via email, WhatsApp, and social media

• Build rapport and trust to convert leads into successful enrollments

• Use CRM tools to manage the student recruitment funnel from inquiry to admission

• Participate in marketing campaigns, webinars, school visits, roadshows, and education fairs

Collaboration & Compliance

• Coordinate with internal departments (admissions, operations, marketing) to ensure a seamless student journey

• Work closely with overseas partners, universities, and in-country representatives

• Ensure data accuracy, compliance with GDPR and partner guidelines

• Submit weekly/monthly performance reports to management

• Contribute to team meetings and training to continuously enhance service delivery

Person Specification

Essential:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in international student recruitment or education counselling

• Expertise in overseas study destinations including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or Europe

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Strong sales mindset with a proven track record of meeting recruitment targets

• Experience using CRM systems and managing student pipelines

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Team player with a professional and customer-first attitude

• Bachelor’s Degree or above

Desirable:

• Proficiency in Vietnamese (for communication with Vietnamese student clientele)

• Experience preparing students for visa applications, proof of funds checks, and compliance interviews
