Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant supports payroll and accounts payable processing, adhering to established policies and procedures. This role involves managing accounting transactions through relevant computer systems, ensuring high productivity, and utilizing innovative solutions to maintain excellence. The ability to multitask, problem-solve, and focus on detail is essential.

Pay Range:
Base Compensation: Min $49,913/yr – Max $83,188/yr (depending on experience and skill set)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll processing, including data input, time sheet control, accounting entries, and payroll distribution.

  • Ensure accuracy of payroll data before transmission and manage HSA contributions.

  • Address 401k inquiries, assist with testing, and prepare reports.

  • Provide backup support for accounts payable and reconcile various demand deposit accounts.

  • Assist with monthly certifications, reconcile FRB daily, and balance Prologue to Premier for all branches.

  • Open new general ledger accounts and help with the annual insurance renewal application.

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Effective communication skills for one-on-one and group interactions.

  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
