Key Responsibilities

Monitor, evaluate, verify, and recommend appropriate pharmaceutical therapies to optimize patient outcomes.

Support interdisciplinary healthcare teams by contributing to clinical decisions and medication-related interventions.

Use clinical judgment to ensure the safe and effective use of medications across multiple hospitals.

Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.

Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy staff under your direction.

Ensure timely and accurate medication processing, documentation, and communication.
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification:
-
Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Pharmacy Board for the state in which the hospital is located.
Education and Experience:

Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program, or a foreign program deemed substantially equivalent by an authorized certifying agency.

Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a pharmacy setting.

Strong clinical judgment and decision-making capabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for evaluating treatment plans and medication safety.
Technical and Equipment Use

Proficient with general office equipment (telephone, copier, fax, calculator, computer).

Requires access to a high-speed internet connection for remote work.
Physical Requirements

Visual acuity and communication skills necessary for patient and team interactions.

Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items weighing at least 30 pounds (e.g., medical supplies and equipment).

Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, and crouch during patient care and equipment setup.
Work Environment

Indoor, climate-controlled, smoke-free setting with occasional outdoor exposure.

Potential exposure to blood or body fluids in clinical settings.

Schedule & Expectations
