Position Summary – Staff Pharmacist

As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you’ll provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care that ensures our customers receive high-quality service and medication management. You’ll play a key role in improving health outcomes, upholding patient safety, and driving operational excellence in our pharmacy.


What You’ll Do

  • Accurately process and dispense prescription medications.

  • Counsel patients on health concerns, medication usage, potential side effects, and wellness programs.

  • Administer immunizations and support other healthcare initiatives in accordance with state regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.

  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain controlled substance records.

  • Support business solutions by collaborating with stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements.

  • Lead and mentor pharmacy team members in delivering excellent customer service.

  • Champion company values and standards of ethics and integrity, using tools such as the Open Door Policy to resolve concerns.

  • Perform regular quality, compliance, and safety reviews, and develop actionable improvement plans as needed.

  • Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, integrity, and excellence in patient care.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Valid Pharmacy License (active at job start date)

  • Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA or pharmacy school coursework)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • None listed, but additional certifications or specialized training may be beneficial.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $98,000 – $172,000 annually (based on a 40-hour workweek; prorated for other schedules)

  • Bonus: Eligible for annual or quarterly performance bonuses
