Company Name: Quintillion

Company Overview

Quintillion, a privately owned and funded company, operates a unique telecommunications system serving Alaska’s American Northwest and North Slope Arctic regions. As a wholesale provider, Quintillion delivers high-speed broadband to local providers across Alaska. In 2017, they completed a 249-mile terrestrial fiber optic cable from north of Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay, offering a high-capacity, low-latency network tailored for the oil and gas industry on the North Slope.

Quintillion’s Phase 2 expansion will create a cutting-edge fiber optic route linking Alaska, Japan, and Washington State, enhancing network diversity and capacity while reducing latency for Asian markets. Phase 3 plans to extend the network through the Northwest Passage to Canada and Europe, establishing a low-latency, diverse route between Asia and Europe with potential for further growth.
