Position Summary

What You’ll Do

As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you’re more than a healthcare professional—you’re a trusted community resource. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescriptions, administering immunizations, and counseling patients.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

  • Guide pharmacy staff in customer service best practices to ensure positive patient experiences and resolution of concerns.

  • Use data and local insights to stay informed about emerging health issues in your community.

  • Drive inventory management, cost savings initiatives, and process improvement strategies.


Leadership & Compliance

  • Foster a culture focused on quality patient care, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Promote transparency and accountability through effective root cause analysis and proactive safety practices.

  • Ensure full adherence to HIPAA, billing protocols, and all standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Monitor and improve compliance through internal audits and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD, or a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency (FPGE) certificate.

  • Active pharmacy license at the time of hire.

  • Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, state-sponsored programs).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or specialized training in patient care or community health.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary Range: $98,000–$172,000* (Based on a 40-hour workweek; prorated for other schedules)
