Summary
CHS is seeking a dependable Truck Driver to join our team in Philip, SD. This position involves hauling fertilizer products to local customers, with drivers returning home daily. Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver products to customers on time, assisting with loading or unloading when necessary.

Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers courteously, addressing concerns promptly, and escalating issues to management as needed.

Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, securing loads properly, and adhering to hours-of-service rules.

Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work areas.

Perform and document daily maintenance checks; ensure all necessary repairs and preventive maintenance are completed.

Promote a strong culture of safety by following safety policies, using personal protective equipment, and reporting workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.

Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations to supervisors.

Participate in mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing and the Continuous Monitoring Program.

Support operational staff by performing other duties as assigned, which may include intercompany driving.
Minimum Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Preferred Qualifications

Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.

Proficient in reading, writing, and communication in English.

Willingness to work additional hours, including overnight stays and occasional weekends, to meet business needs.

Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.

Experience or background in agriculture is a plus.

Customer service experience preferred.

Experience with bulk liquid, pressure trailers, or forklifts is beneficial.

Must pass pre-employment screenings based on job requirements, which may include drug testing, criminal background checks, motor vehicle records, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
