About the Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PRN – Basalt, CO)

As a Physical Therapist at Vail Health and Howard Head Sports Medicine (HHSM), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care. This includes patient assessment, treatment planning, execution of therapy interventions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. In this role, you will also contribute to promoting our services within the community to support both clinical and organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations using appropriate tests to assess physical function and guide therapy plans.

  • Design and implement individualized physical therapy programs based on evaluations, physician orders, and patient goals.

  • Deliver safe and effective therapy using a wide range of evidence-based techniques.

  • Address physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.

  • Provide ongoing communication and documentation to ensure continuity of care with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Recommend and assist with obtaining necessary durable medical equipment prior to patient discharge.

  • Document clinical findings, treatment progress, and complete patient billing daily.

  • Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.

  • Participate in training and mentorship of PT and PTA students as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure:

  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Colorado or a valid PT Compact Privilege.

Certifications:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to obtain the necessary computer skills within 90 days of hire to complete job-related online tasks and training.

Language:

  • Must possess strong English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 – $63.15 USD/hour
    Compensation is based on relevant education and experience.
