Position Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our providers by delivering direct patient care, managing clinical records, and performing administrative duties that ensure efficient and effective care coordination.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and assist with invasive procedures in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Respond to patient phone inquiries promptly and professionally.

Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.

Prepare patients for procedures, including drawing blood, administering injections, and initiating IV therapy as needed.

Monitor patients’ medical conditions and notify providers of any changes.

Maintain accurate documentation and communicate care plans, including diagnostic and therapeutic services ordered by providers.

Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and properly equipped. Sterilize instruments and follow opening/closing procedures.

Requirements
Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years of clinical and administrative experience preferred

Competency in venipuncture, injections, and IV therapy is preferred

Understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA, OSHA, and use of medical equipment
Licensure (must have at least one prior to start):

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA – AAMA)

Registered Medical Assistant (RMA – AMT)

National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA – NCCT)

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA – NHA)
-
Medical Assistant Certification (MAC – AMCA)

Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)

Licensed Practical Nurse (Colorado or compact license)

Emergency Medical Technician (Colorado license)
Certification:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Language & Typing Skills:

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
