Storefront Data Scientist
We’re looking for a passionate and innovative Storefront Data Scientist to join our centralized data science team. In this role, you’ll focus on enhancing site personalization, search, ranking, and discovery features—creating a seamless, intelligent, and highly personalized shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced machine learning and statistical models to improve product search, ranking, and personalized recommendations.

Contribute to the full ML lifecycle—feature engineering, model training, testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.

Run experiments to evaluate model impact and communicate results to key stakeholders.

Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and business teams to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions.

Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights that inform strategy.

Identify data quality issues and collaborate with engineering to improve tracking and data infrastructure.

Advocate for best practices in modeling, experimentation, and analytics across teams.

Continuously seek automation opportunities and increase the efficiency of model deployment pipelines.
Desired Skills & Experience

MS or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2+ years of experience applying data science or machine learning in a business or consumer-facing setting.

Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and Generative AI.

Proficient in Python and SQL; skilled with major data science libraries and ML tools.

Experience with BI tools like Looker or Tableau.

Strong communication and presentation skills—able to simplify complex ideas for non-technical audiences.

Highly collaborative, fast-moving, and kind team player.
Compensation
Pay Range: $150,000 – $225,000 USD
Compensation is based on role, experience, and market data. Bonus eligibility is performance-based and tied to strategic impact.
