Hours: 19.25 hours per week (12:30pm – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday)
Salary: £25,057.50 per annum (Pro Rata)

About the Role

As a Part-Time Receptionist at The Farndon Unit, you’ll be the friendly face and calming presence that greets everyone who walks through the door. You’ll help create a welcoming and secure environment for service users, staff, and visitors within a low secure hospital supporting women with mental health needs and personality disorders.
In this dynamic front-of-house role, you’ll manage a variety of administrative and reception duties while ensuring safety and confidentiality are always a top priority.
Your Key Responsibilities

Greet and sign in all visitors in a warm, professional manner

Coordinate the office diary for meetings, therapy sessions, and events

Handle incoming telephone calls, emails, and post efficiently

Ensure the reception area and meeting rooms are always clean and presentable

Distribute security passes, keys, and monitor access to maintain safety

Manage deliveries and administrative support tasks

Display and maintain up-to-date leaflets, brochures, and resources

Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Essential Skills and Experience:

Previous receptionist or customer service experience

Strong IT and computer skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

GCSE English Language (Grade C or above)

Strong awareness of confidentiality and security standards

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
