Overview
Sidley is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our Accounting Department. This role involves independent work on complex accounting tasks, financial reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate financial reports and ad hoc analyses

Review and analyze general ledger activity and monthly account variances

Support budgeting and forecasting processes

Develop and maintain advanced Excel reports and financial models

Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions

Ensure compliance with firm policies through exception reporting reviews

Assist with management and departmental reporting

Collaborate on system testing for financial reports

Mentor junior staff and review their work

Communicate effectively across departments and with external parties

Support special projects and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment

Build a strong understanding of law firm operations
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong technical and analytical skills

CPA or CPA candidate preferred
