Overview
Sidley is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our Accounting Department. This role involves independent work on complex accounting tasks, financial reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate financial reports and ad hoc analyses

  • Review and analyze general ledger activity and monthly account variances

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel reports and financial models

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions

  • Ensure compliance with firm policies through exception reporting reviews

  • Assist with management and departmental reporting

  • Collaborate on system testing for financial reports

  • Mentor junior staff and review their work

  • Communicate effectively across departments and with external parties

  • Support special projects and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment

  • Build a strong understanding of law firm operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
