About the Role
Golden State Foods is seeking a strategic and hands-on Training & Continuous Improvement Manager to lead impactful initiatives across our facility. This role focuses on driving positive change through workforce development, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, and sustainability training—supporting over 400 associates. You’ll work closely with key plant leaders to shape and execute programs that enhance performance, compliance, and culture.
What You’ll Do

Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager and CI Manager to design and implement plant-wide continuous improvement strategies and performance targets.

Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for all associates, including new hire onboarding, operator learning guides, and CI tools.

Conduct audits of operational procedures and training effectiveness, ensuring alignment with facility goals.

Communicate key findings and progress to leadership through reports and data-driven insights.

Facilitate problem-solving teams to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions in areas such as productivity, cost, quality, delivery, safety, and morale.

Design and deliver training sessions on processes, machinery, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Oversee development and management of One Point Lessons (OPLs) and related training materials.

Lead CI initiatives including GSF Production System (GPS) activities and oversee performance tracking tools like Informance and Loss Trees.

Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including overtime, to meet plant objectives.

Support additional responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Need
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field preferred

7+ years of experience in manufacturing, training, safety, and/or continuous improvement

Proven background in training delivery, facilitation, and employee development
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and performance tracking systems (e.g., Informance)
Skills & Abilities:

Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization

Ability to work independently, make data-driven decisions, and lead cross-functional teams

Experience coaching individuals and teams in a performance-driven environment

Proficient in project management, regulatory compliance, and process improvement tools

Demonstrated ability to manage training programs aligned with CI, safety, and sustainability goals
