Job Description
Meldrum is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone who is eager to learn the electrical trade and contribute to real projects across the North East.
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist with the installation of copper pipework, above-ground drainage, and electrical systems. You will also support the testing and commissioning of components, working alongside experienced professionals. This role offers a comprehensive, structured training programme across all departments, giving you a strong foundation for a long-term career in the electrical and construction industries.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in electrical installations and routine testing of components.

Interpret job requirements from drawings, specifications, or site instructions.

Support the team in setting up systems and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Travel to multiple job sites across the North East as required.

Excellent time-keeping and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths, English, and Science.

Must pass a functional skills test (numeracy, verbal reasoning, problem-solving).

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to travel between sites.
