About the Role

The Programme Enhancement Assistant role is an exciting opportunity designed specifically for recent graduates who have held or currently hold the title of Graduate Intern at the University of Manchester, or at another UK Higher Education Institution. This role offers a valuable entry point into a career in higher education administration and academic services.

As a member of the Programme Enhancement team within Teaching and Learning Delivery, you will play a key role in supporting activities that enhance the student academic experience across the University. You will work closely with School and Faculty colleagues, the Students’ Union, and other key stakeholders to help ensure operational excellence and student-focused service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative and clerical support for Teaching and Learning projects and activities.

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of programme enhancement initiatives.

  • Respond to enquiries and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to meeting administration where required.

  • Build and sustain effective working relationships across academic and professional services teams.

  • Contribute to working groups and committees as appropriate.

  • Support the Programme Enhancement team in driving improvements in teaching and learning outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must currently hold the role of ‘Graduate Intern’ at the University of Manchester or a similar Graduate Intern position at another UK Higher Education Institution.

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship (Skilled Worker route not applicable for this role).
