Inside Sales Representative
Are you a proactive and organized individual with a passion for sales and a background in life sciences? We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team and support our Sales Managers in achieving revenue targets and ensuring exceptional customer engagement. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving sales growth by assisting with various sales processes, customer interactions, and account management.
This is a remote position, and we’re seeking candidates residing in the following states: TX, AZ, KS, MO, RI, VT, ME, OH, CO, SD, ND, DC, MD, NJ, PA, WA, or FL, or the Boston, MA region.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Sales Strategies: Help Sales Managers execute sales strategies and reach revenue goals.
- Manage Customer Accounts: Assist with tracking sales activities, follow-ups, and overall customer account management.
- Prepare Sales Materials: Create sales reports, presentations, and proposals for client meetings.
- Maintain CRM Records: Keep customer information accurate and up-to-date in our CRM system (like Salesforce).
- Coordinate Engagements: Schedule meetings, calls, and product demonstrations.
- Be a Key Contact: Serve as a primary point of contact between customers and our internal teams (marketing, operations, finance).
- Handle Inquiries: Respond promptly to customer questions and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Process Orders: Assist with order processing, contract documentation, and invoicing.
- Conduct Research: Perform market and competitor research to support our sales initiatives.
- Generate Leads: Help identify and qualify potential customers to support lead generation efforts.
- Travel: Travel up to 10% for meetings, conferences, and client visits as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences is required.
- Scientific Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of NGS, genomics, and/or molecular biology is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in sales support, account management, or customer service is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Experience using CRM software (like Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Work Ethic: Someone who is independent, self-driven, and a great team player.
