IT Systems Support Administrator: Job Overview

We’re looking for an IT Systems Support Administrator to join our team in a hybrid role that balances backend system administration with essential day-to-day user support. This is an in-office position reporting directly to the Digital Operations Manager.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing Microsoft 365 services, maintaining our network infrastructure, and supporting automation initiatives. You’ll also be a primary point of contact for staff IT needs and digital tools. Your time will be divided between infrastructure responsibilities (including M365 Admin Center, Intune, Exchange Online, endpoint security, network hardware, and workflow automation) and direct user support. This includes resolving helpdesk tickets, setting up hardware when needed, creating documentation, providing occasional training, and contributing to long-term infrastructure planning alongside the Digital Operations Manager and Chief Marketing & Technology Officer.

The ideal candidate understands that IT issues don’t always adhere to a 9-to-5 schedule and is prepared to address critical situations outside of standard business hours when necessary.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer and manage Microsoft 365 services such as Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, DHCP, and wireless systems.
    • Monitor and manage endpoints, ensuring timely updates and robust security policy enforcement.
    • Support the Digital Operations Manager with various tools, integrations, and digital workflow initiatives.
    • Respond to helpdesk requests and provide direct, hands-on IT support to users.
    • Create and maintain clear internal IT documentation and training materials.
    • Assist with audio/visual setup and on-site technical support for meetings and events.
    • Be available to address critical support issues that may arise outside of normal business hours.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • 2-5 years of proven experience in a similar IT support or administration role.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, particularly Intune and Exchange.
    • A solid grasp of networking and endpoint management fundamentals.
    • Genuine enthusiasm for technology and a curiosity for new tools and platforms.
    • Excellent communication skills with a calm, professional, and approachable support style.
    • Reliable, adaptable, and capable of managing shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
    • A strong understanding of IT security best practices and how to implement them across systems.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
    • A polite, courteous demeanor with a proactive “how can I help” attitude.
    • The ability to embody and reflect our core values: QQQ, Grace, Green, Giving, Generative, and Good Neighbor Policy.
    • Ability to pass a drug screen, BCI/FBI background check, and physical examination as required.
