Role Overview
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will report to the Purchasing Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the buying department. You’ll support product setup, data accuracy, supplier communications, and cross-departmental coordination.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Buying team with admin and operational tasks

Maintain up-to-date product and supplier information in internal systems

Coordinate new product setups and ensure timely, accurate data entry

Serve as a liaison between Buying, Customer Service, Finance, and Marketing

Communicate with suppliers regarding product ranges, lead times, and documentation

Monitor purchase orders and follow up on outstanding items

Prepare reports and assist in product performance analysis

Manage product templates, shipping dimensions, and image data

Assist in demand planning and the order process, including PO raising and back-order management

Experience & Skills:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Organised, methodical, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Effective communicator (written and verbal)

Confident user of Microsoft Excel

Experience with purchasing/buying processes (preferred but not essential)
