Addison Group is assisting a flourishing regional orthopedic practice in their search for dedicated Medical Billing Specialists. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and collaborative central billing team that oversees the entire revenue cycle across multiple clinic locations.


Job Description: Full Cycle Medical Biller

We’re looking for experienced, detail-oriented Full Cycle Medical Billers to join our client’s central billing office. In this role, your primary focus will be on AR follow-up, managing denied claims, appeals, and payment posting. Ideal candidates will bring a background in orthopedic billing and possess strong technical and system navigation skills.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing insurance AR across all aging categories, which includes follow-ups, adjustments, and appeals.
  • Investigating and resolving denied claims promptly and thoroughly.
  • Preparing and submitting necessary documentation and appeals to payers, including medical records.
  • Accurately entering and managing patient and insurance payment data.
  • Generating and reviewing patient statements and billing reports.
  • Collaborating closely with team leads and management to meet performance goals.
  • Assisting with additional billing tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in AR follow-up and full cycle billing, specifically within orthopedics.
  • A solid understanding of commercial and government insurance, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and denial resolution.
  • Experience with EPIC workqueues is highly preferred, though experience with Athena, Cerner, or other EHRs is also acceptable.
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems, navigating databases, and tech platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high school diploma or GED (proof required).
  • Strong references that can verify recent billing scope.

  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
