LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently partnering with a reputable client based in Beaverton, Oregon, to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. Position Overview

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for a workforce of 400+ employees. You will monitor pay rates and hours worked, manage multiple payroll cycles, and ensure all journal entries and payroll reconciliations are properly handled. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for 400+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws

  • Track and verify employee work hours, pay rates, and any applicable deductions or adjustments

  • Calculate and report payroll variances for internal accounting and compliance purposes

  • Manage and coordinate multiple payrolls simultaneously as required

  • Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries into the general ledger

  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee compensation data

  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably with companies managing 400+ employees

  • Familiarity with payroll systems; experience with ADP is a strong advantage

  • Excellent multitasking abilities and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
