The Role: Contract Specialist
As a Contract Specialist on our Global Operations & Strategy team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a dedicated sales team by managing the end-to-end contracting process. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Administration to draft, review, and execute contracts that meet both client needs and Moody’s compliance standards.
This position is ideal for detail-oriented, self-motivated professionals who thrive under tight deadlines and enjoy cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the entire contract lifecycle for new business and renewals.

Partner with Sales to provide contract guidance and mitigate potential delays or risks.

Draft and tailor Tier 1 contracts (under $500K / $250K for software) in alignment with internal policies.

Maintain CRM data accuracy and ensure proper pricing and documentation.

Validate executed contracts for compliance with internal controls (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).

Act as liaison for post-signature adjustments and client queries.

Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Billing on complex transactions and escalations.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of contract-related experience in finance, legal, sales support, or procurement.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Meticulous attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Experience with Salesforce CRM and/or Apttus (preferred).

Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus for EMEA roles.
