We are looking for motivated coders who have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of clinical documentation and national coding standards.
About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Coder, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex clinical data into accurate coded information that supports healthcare planning, clinical governance, and NHS funding streams via the NHS Payment Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:

Code complex inpatient and day case episodes accurately and efficiently using ICD-10 and OPCS-4.

Maintain ACC status through ongoing training and standards refreshers.

Support, mentor, and guide Trainee Clinical Coders.

Collaborate with Clinical Coding Site Leads to meet data submission deadlines.

Apply National Clinical Coding Standards and local policies with expertise and consistency.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:

Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) qualification.

Proven experience coding complex clinical specialties.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Up-to-date knowledge of NHS coding standards and classifications (ICD-10 & OPCS-4).

Strong analytical and communication skills.
Desirable:

NHS audit experience.

Experience mentoring or training junior coders.
