Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations at a 100-employee manufacturing facility in Faribault, MN. This is a hands-on leadership role with one direct report, ideal for an HR professional with a strong background in employee relations, training, talent acquisition, and HRIS administration within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Employee Relations: Leading resolution of employee conflicts, managing disciplinary processes, creating performance improvement plans, and investigating harassment or workplace complaints.

  • Employee Communication: Facilitating effective communication throughout the plant, including leading employee meetings and addressing concerns at all levels.

  • Training & Development: Assessing training needs and developing, coordinating, and delivering tailored training programs.

  • Talent Acquisition: Overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.

  • HRIS & Payroll: Administering HR systems such as attendance tracking, payroll troubleshooting, and employee records management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; HR-related certification is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR management, with demonstrated success in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with IBM1/AS400 is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and project management skills. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
