Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, internal transitions, and record-keeping.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system and physical files.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes in collaboration with hiring managers and the HR team.

  • Guide the creation of role descriptions, ensure alignment with organizational standards, and monitor hiring timelines.

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs and manage leave requests in compliance with company policy.

  • Ensure clear, consistent communication with employees regarding benefits and leave-related matters.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Address employee concerns and provide guidance to managers on routine employee relations issues.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations, as well as internal policies.

Performance Management & Development

  • Coordinate performance review cycles and support goal-setting, feedback delivery, and professional development initiatives.

  • Track training needs and assist in implementing learning and development programs.

Global HR Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the local HR team and Global HR (GHR).

  • Provide localized insights for global initiatives and ensure alignment with global HR programs and policies.

  • Participate in regular strategy and alignment sessions with the global HR headquarters.

Culture & Engagement

  • Contribute to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance workplace culture.

  • Plan and implement employee engagement activities and support internal communication efforts.

Cross-functional HR Support

  • Deliver timely and accurate HR support across multiple departments, including manufacturing and farm teams.

  • Travel periodically to Vermont to maintain strong on-site relationships and drive alignment on HR initiatives.

  • Partner closely with the President to support strategic planning, talent development, and organizational design.

  • Provide HR support to Tata Harper’s global employee population.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–8+ years of HR management experience required; prior experience in the cosmetics or manufacturing industry strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of HR practices, employee lifecycle management, and global mobility programs.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong, collaborative relationships across diverse teams.

  • Skilled in maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information with discretion.

  • Strong written communication skills; experience drafting clear and professional documents.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.

  • Natural leadership and mentoring abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or certifications preferred.

  • Proficient in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
