What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process semi-monthly payroll and audit for discrepancies or exceptions

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee information within the HRIS system

  • Provide support to employees and supervisors on timekeeping and attendance issues

  • Respond to inquiries related to pay, deductions, and time tracking

  • Handle employment verifications and generate reports as needed

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws

  • Serve as a resource for internal teams on payroll-related questions and processes

  • Cross-train with the Benefits Department and assist with FMLA and third-party sick pay coordination

  • Upload required data to the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)

  • Process updates to employee addresses and tax withholding information

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll processing

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

  • Flexibility to meet tight deadlines and manage shifting priorities

  • Solid understanding of federal and state tax and employment regulations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Full-time, on-site position (not eligible for remote work)
