Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment initiatives to attract a diverse pool of candidates who align with Moody’s doctrinal beliefs and demonstrate the desired qualifications and competencies.

  • Maintain clear and consistent criteria for interviews and candidate selection, including spiritual alignment, employability standards, work experience, references, and hiring assessments.

  • Oversee the application and hiring process through the talent acquisition platform (UKG), ensuring a smooth and effective experience for applicants and hiring managers.

  • Manage internal transfers and promotions, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and compensation regulations.

  • Lead and supervise the recruiting, compensation, and HRIS teams, as well as the Human Resources office assistant, to achieve high performance and operational efficiency.

  • Administer Moody Bible Institute’s relocation policy for applicable new hires or internal moves.

  • Utilize the Human Resources Management System (UKG) to support and advance ministry goals and HR functions.

  • Design, implement, and manage compensation programs, policies, and procedures that support the ministry’s mission and operational objectives.

  • Oversee unemployment compensation processes, including handling claims, appeals, and benefit disbursements.

  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.

  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with proven expertise in recruitment strategy and compensation program development.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and related technologies.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.

  • Alignment with and commitment to Moody Bible Institute’s doctrinal statement, mission, values, and community standards.

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a ministry-oriented mindset.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

  • Experience in supervising or managing teams.

  • Strong planning, execution, and project management capabilities.

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.
