The Role
We are seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant to support and coordinate WRL’s collaborative activities. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support for meetings, projects, and events, helping ensure smooth operations and effective communication across the WRL partnership.
You will:

Manage diaries, arrange meetings, and prepare agendas and minutes

Support WRL and White Rose University Press project groups with accurate documentation

Maintain project action plans and meeting logs
-
Monitor shared inboxes and coordinate responses
-
Update and maintain WRL’s website and social media channels, ensuring regular engagement with both internal and external audiences
While based in York, the role will require regular travel to Leeds and Sheffield.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven administrative experience and strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and friendly approach

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

A proactive and solution-focused attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Confidence using and maintaining social media platforms for engagement

Experience working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
