Position Summary
The Principal Business Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing, improving, and integrating business systems to enhance organizational efficiency. This role is responsible for evaluating complex systems, identifying business needs, and aligning technology solutions to meet operational goals. The analyst partners with key stakeholders across the organization to define requirements, optimize processes, and lead data-driven decision-making. This role also provides oversight and mentorship to both associate and business analysts, ensuring the quality and consistency of analytical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and analyze business systems and user needs, identifying opportunities for integration and process improvement.

Develop system requirements and functional specifications that support operational and project objectives.

Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, and sponsors to align technology enhancements with strategic goals.

Lead multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely and comprehensive execution of deliverables.

Manipulate and analyze large data sets using Excel (including Pivot Tables) to uncover trends and support strategic decisions.

Prepare and deliver detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to leadership based on data insights.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) across assigned lines of business, offering guidance on process, systems, and best practices.

Support department goals by assisting with complex escalations, conducting research, and proposing effective solutions.

Conduct system testing and validation for compliance, coding updates, contract changes, and configuration modifications.

Document and communicate findings and outstanding issues to project and operational teams.

Provide training on system updates and process changes, particularly those identified during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Participate in cross-functional workgroups to support enterprise-wide program implementation.

Create and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and system changes.

Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out with a security-focused approach to protect sensitive data and systems.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business analysis, systems evaluation, or related roles.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a technical or financial discipline.
