Position Summary
Georgia State University’s School of Social Work, located within the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to support the financial operations of the Title IV-E Child Welfare Educational and Training Program. This full-time, sponsor-funded position is based at the Atlanta Campus and includes both on-campus and online responsibilities. Continuation of this role is dependent on grant funding.
Key Responsibilities

Provide ongoing technical assistance to participating Georgia Schools of Social Work to support the preparation and submission of annual budget proposals, amendments, and monthly/quarterly invoices, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and GSU’s Office of Sponsored Programs and Awards.

Process all invoices submitted to GSU, reviewing supporting documentation such as student aid records, class schedules, faculty teaching assignments, salaries, and fringe benefits for reimbursement requests.

Collaborate with the program’s fiscal consultant to monitor the effectiveness and accuracy of program budget templates, ensuring proper functionality of embedded formulas for processing invoices and budgets.

Review monthly drilldown financial reports for program-assigned expenditures, reconciling discrepancies in accordance with GSU financial protocols.

Develop and maintain a procedures manual detailing budget and invoice preparation for distribution to staff at partner schools to promote consistency and adherence to standard financial practices.

Attend virtual and in-person Title IV-E consortium meetings with leadership and staff from partner institutions as needed; assist in preparing and delivering quarterly financial reports.

Participate in GSU business manager training sessions and relevant meetings as directed by the Assistant Director or other program staff.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in program budgeting and invoice processing.

Experience managing public grant awards and working within university or government funding environments.
