What You’ll Do

  • Respond swiftly to emergency situations including fire, rescue, and medical incidents

  • Use advanced equipment and techniques to protect life and property

  • Collaborate with internal and external emergency partners

  • Uphold Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) safety and competency standards

  • Maintain firefighting and rescue equipment to ensure operational readiness

  • Deliver safe working practices aligned with health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Engage in ongoing training and participate in simulation exercises

  • Support wider airport duties and team development initiatives

Who We’re Looking For

You’re an individual who is:

  • Highly motivated with a can-do attitude

  • A team player who thrives under pressure

  • Adaptable, capable of working shifts including weekends and holidays

  • Focused, with excellent communication and decision-making skills

Essential Criteria

  • Aged 18 or over (due to LGV licence requirements)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Valid UK Driving Licence

  • Ability to meet CAA/Edinburgh Airport medical and fitness standards

  • Strong English, Maths, and basic IT skills

Desirable (but not essential):

  • First aid or health & safety experience

  • LGV (Class 2) Licence

  • Background in instruction, coaching, or using technology/machinery

Training & Certification (Supported Once in Role)

  • LGV Licence (if not already held)

  • First Aid & Defibrillator Certification

  • Rescue & Firefighting Services (RFFS) Certificate

  2. Assessment Day (Group Exercise & Physical Test):

    • 30 July 2025 or 6 August 2025 – in Edinburgh

  3. Practical Assessment (Date TBC)

  4. In-Person Interview

  5. Pre-Employment Medical (for selected candidates)
