Position Summary
As part of Citi’s Institutional Sales team, this role is focused on supporting clients in raising capital through the markets and providing strategic advisory services on financial transactions. The position involves collaboration with the Institutional Banking team to develop and execute capital market strategies that expand Citi’s client base and maximize revenue.
Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on capital market strategies and support fundraising efforts.

Develop and refine marketing and sales strategies to enhance client engagement and revenue generation.

Partner with management and colleagues to implement a targeted marketing plan with defined priorities and financial goals.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders—structuring, trading, legal, credit, and risk teams—to successfully position and close transactions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with sales teams to identify relevant buying and selling opportunities.

Ensure alignment with Citi’s governance standards by working closely with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Finance.

Evaluate the risk-reward profile of transactions with appropriate consideration of Citi’s reputation and regulatory obligations.

A hybrid or telecommuting work arrangement may be available, in line with Citi’s policies, for candidates located within commuting distance of the office.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least three (3) years of experience in strategic financial advisory within the financial services sector.
Required Experience (minimum 3 years):
-
Partnering with banks, hedge funds, and institutional investors to deliver capital markets solutions.

Pricing FX and interest rate derivatives, including customized structures for LATAM financial institutions, using Excel and Bloomberg.

Deep knowledge of Latin American financial markets, including local products, regulatory frameworks, and political landscapes.

Analyzing market catalysts and risks using Bloomberg and financial data systems to produce research and strategy reports.

Interpreting data from LATAM central banks and public institutions to assess investment trends.

Experience with LATAM rates instruments (bonds and derivatives, both bilateral and cleared).

Understanding of FX markets, including spot, forwards, NDFs, and volatility products.

Familiarity with global securitized products, especially emerging market sovereign and corporate debt, in both cash and derivatives forms.
