Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and manage marketing initiatives to attract new business and strengthen existing partnerships.

  • Identify potential clients, assess their needs, and create strategies to build strong, lasting relationships.

  • Coordinate and follow up on communication and meetings with new and existing customers to maintain engagement and drive business opportunities.

  • Monitor regional and seasonal trends in freight and equipment supply and demand to negotiate competitive, profitable rates.

  • Lead strategy sessions and close sales with both prospective and current customers.

  • Establish sales goals, define territories, and manage quota achievement to support overall revenue growth.

  • Track and analyze customer performance metrics and review contracts to ensure compliance and client satisfaction.

  • Proactively anticipate customer challenges and deliver effective solutions to ensure a seamless onboarding and service experience.

  • Address and resolve any customer concerns related to sales or support activities.

  • Collaborate closely with account managers and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business profitability.

  • Partner with leadership to address broader organizational needs and support business expansion initiatives.

  • Represent the company at industry events and trade association meetings to increase visibility and generate new business.

  • Regularly communicate feedback and insights to the management team to support continuous improvement in processes and performance.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of four years of experience in freight brokerage.

  • Proven track record in customer sales within the logistics or transportation industry.

  • Experience handling refrigerated freight is strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and creating data-driven reports and presentations using tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
