Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for identifying prospective clients in support of the distribution and channel management teams.

  • Build and nurture professional relationships to understand client needs and recommend appropriate products or services that align with business objectives and drive sales.

  • Execute in-field sales strategies to increase revenue across assigned or targeted accounts; coordinate all sales activities and service initiatives for these accounts.

  • Conduct customer needs assessments and collaborate with channel partners to optimize reach, engagement, and customer value.

  • Cultivate strong personal relationships with prospective clients to influence buying decisions and develop long-term business opportunities.

  • Design and deliver customized presentations that effectively address specific client needs and demonstrate value.

  • Analyze sales and marketing data to refine sales techniques and improve outreach strategies.

  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to promote offerings and generate new business leads.

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals by engaging customers within the assigned territory and promoting relevant solutions.

  • Support distribution and channel management teams in executing business development initiatives within defined customer segments.

  • Lead bid opportunities, prepare bid submissions, and participate in negotiations with prospective clients.

  • Identify and generate new leads for the business development team.

  • Actively support and develop potential projects with assigned customers, presenting ideas and strategies to the broader sales team.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline

  • 4–5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years of B2B sales in the floor covering or building materials industry, preferably with distributor partnerships


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in account management, distribution, and/or channel sales, or an equivalent mix of education and experience

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and ROI to stakeholders

  • Proficiency in virtual client engagement through digital platforms

  • Ability to co-develop value-based solutions through collaboration with internal sales teams for comprehensive, cross-functional selling strategies

  • In-depth understanding of current industry trends, technologies, and best practices that impact the sales organization and broader business environment


Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and client relationships simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a proactive attitude, and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory and for trade shows, client meetings, and company events
