What You’ll Do

As a key member of the Field HR team, you will provide comprehensive human resources support across a range of functional areas, including employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, onboarding, training, compensation, HR policy enforcement, HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a local HR resource, advising management on policy interpretation, compliance, and HR-related programs and procedures.

  • Support recruitment activities, including pre-employment and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Act as the point of contact for implementing and communicating corporate HR initiatives at field locations.

  • Promote process improvements by assessing and enhancing current HR practices.

  • Guide management through coaching, counseling, and performance management efforts, including conducting internal investigations when necessary.

  • Assist in developing performance improvement plans and individual development plans for employees.

  • Conduct training sessions on company policies, procedures, employee benefits, and management development.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to exchange and manage HR-related information effectively.


Qualifications – Experience & Education

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in human resources or a related role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% or more, as required by the role.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.

  • Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and experience working with unionized labor groups.

  • Prior experience in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environments.

  • Bilingual skills may be required depending on location, with Spanish strongly preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods, with occasional interruptions.

  • Frequent movement including standing, bending, reaching, and transitioning between sitting and standing.

  • Manual dexterity and normal hand function required for computer and office tasks.

  • Ability to talk, hear, and see to perform essential functions.

  • Occasional travel by car or plane for business purposes.

  • Periodic visits to cold storage warehouse environments with freezing temperatures.

  • May need to carry travel-related items and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.

  • Use of various electronic tools and office equipment required.

Compensation Range:
$88,000 – $109,500 annually (based on experience, skills, and work location).
