Job Description

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global payroll team by fostering a culture rooted in accuracy, accountability, and service excellence.

  • Oversee a diverse payroll team, handling full people-management responsibilities such as hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Build a customer-focused payroll function by implementing strong controls and efficient processes that deliver timely, accurate, and responsive payroll services across all global regions.

  • Address and resolve complex payroll inquiries, ensuring a seamless and high-quality employee experience.

  • Collaborate with external partners including payroll vendors, local authorities, tax advisors, and auditors to maintain compliance and accuracy.

  • Work closely with company leadership and internal stakeholders to align payroll operations with broader business goals.

  • Maintain secure, accurate, and confidential payroll records that comply with all regulatory standards and data protocols.

  • Contribute to other duties and initiatives as needed.


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Significant experience managing payroll operations in a global corporate environment, including leadership of multi-member teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent; PCP certification from the Canadian Payroll Association is a plus.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience coaching and guiding teams to success.

  • Deep familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, and Dayforce.

  • Hands-on experience using Workday’s payroll processing module.

  • Solid technical knowledge of global payroll requirements, including year-end reporting and tax regulations.

  • Background in leading payroll system implementations and managing related projects.

  • Strong focus on building inclusive and diverse teams that work collaboratively toward shared objectives.

  • Ability to set strategic direction, empower teams, and drive high-impact outcomes.

  • Skillful in prioritizing, solving problems, and managing projects effectively.
