About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Trainer/Assessor to deliver the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (CYPFP) Apprenticeship. You’ll support apprentices working in family support, social care, youth work and early help settings—guiding them to success in both practical skills and End-Point Assessment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching sessions (1:1, remote, and/or group)

Assess apprentices against Level 4 CYPFP standards

Create and monitor individual learning plans

Provide regular, constructive feedback and progress reviews

Support learners to build knowledge, skills, and behaviours across their role

Prepare learners for Gateway and End-Point Assessment (EPA)

Maintain accurate records and collaborate with employers

Promote safeguarding, British values, Prevent, and EDI in all delivery
Requirements
Essential:
-
Occupational experience working with children, young people and/or families
-
Recognised Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1 or equivalent)

Experience delivering apprenticeships or vocational training
-
Strong coaching, communication and IT skills
-
Ability to travel to learner sites (if required)
Desirable:
-
Teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, CET or above)

IQA qualification (or willingness to gain)

Knowledge of safeguarding, therapeutic support, or pastoral care
-
Experience with e-portfolio systems (e.g., OneFile, Bud)
