About the Role
Muck Rack is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our fast-growing, fully remote team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our outbound sales efforts, connecting with prospective clients and driving interest in Muck Rack’s AI-powered PR software. You’ll be responsible for creating outreach strategies, building relationships, and booking qualified meetings—all while working closely with marketing and sales leadership to improve performance and process.
This position is ideal for someone who is goal-oriented, curious, and eager to grow in a dynamic, collaborative SaaS environment.
What You’ll Do

Prospect leads via email, phone, and creative outreach strategies to exceed meeting quotas

Overcome objections and build rapport with prospective buyers

Develop efficient, scalable systems for outreach and lead engagement

Monitor PR industry trends to identify new opportunities for outreach

Use Muck Rack’s CRM to organize, assign, and track lead activity, maintaining accurate and timely records

Leverage Muck Rack’s proprietary tools to develop innovative engagement strategies for target accounts

Conduct A/B testing on outreach campaigns and use results to inform future sales initiatives

What Makes You a Great Fit

1+ year of experience as a SaaS sales development representative or 1+ year of experience in a public relations role

A sales-focused mindset with a passion for building new relationships

Excellent writing skills and an eye for detail—especially in crafting personalized, persuasive emails

Strong phone communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly

Effective multitasker with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, startup environment

Self-driven, highly accountable, and open to feedback and continuous improvement

Comfortable learning new technologies quickly; experience with tools like Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, Outreach, and Marketo preferred

Willingness to work East Coast U.S. hours

Compensation

Base Salary (U.S.): $53,000
-
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $68,000+

Initial quarters will include ramp-up periods with adjusted goals and commission expectations.
