Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support statistical analysis and machine learning model development, testing, and deployment

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions

  • Define and implement comprehensive data strategies to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives

  • Conduct research and data exploration to answer strategic business questions and drive data-informed decisions

  • Generate actionable insights by applying data transformation techniques, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms

  • Optimize models and algorithms for performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments

  • Architect and maintain data infrastructure including data lakes, data warehouses, and governance frameworks

  • Integrate and align data pipelines across cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and usability

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems and processes

  • Develop monitoring systems and performance metrics to track data pipeline reliability and effectiveness

  • Advocate for best practices in data science and software engineering

  • Mentor junior team members, contributing to knowledge-sharing and skill development

  • Stay current with emerging trends and tools in data science, machine learning, and big data, and apply them to improve internal processes and products


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or software development

  • Proficiency with data pipeline frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Beam, or Apache Flink

  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse and data lake platforms like Oracle Object Storage, Apache Hadoop, Hive, or Amazon Redshift

  • Strong programming capabilities in Python, Java, or Scala

  • Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and scalable system design

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Proven ability to extract insights and communicate stories from complex data

  • Solid grasp of data governance, quality, and security standards

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js

  • Experience working in agile development environments and using version control tools like Git or Bitbucket


Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range (U.S.): $109,200 – $223,400 annually
Eligible for performance bonuses and equity grants.

Oracle offers a flexible compensation structure based on factors such as experience, expertise, geographic location, and business needs. Placement within the range will be based on these and internal equity considerations.
