Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead research projects from conception to execution.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify critical research questions.

  • Select and apply appropriate methodologies to collect, analyze, and interpret data.

  • Develop new tools or techniques to address methodological challenges.

  • Provide measurement frameworks and data-driven strategies that guide decision-making.

  • Communicate research findings and strategic insights clearly to stakeholders.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a social science (e.g., Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Communication) or a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Informatics, Econometrics) with a focus on social research.

  • At least 2 years of post-graduate professional experience.

  • Proficiency with data analysis and manipulation tools such as R, Stata, SQL, or Hive.

  • Knowledge of survey and statistical methodologies (e.g., sampling, bias correction, regression modeling, causal inference, longitudinal surveys).

  • Demonstrated expertise in at least three of the following: statistical inference, survey methods, regression, exploratory data analysis, or experimental design.

  • Strong communication skills for translating complex findings into actionable insights.

  • Proven ability to independently lead research projects from start to finish.

  • Experience designing original research to answer real-world social or behavioral questions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed systems (e.g., Hive, Hadoop).

  • Familiarity with Bayesian modeling techniques.

  • Hands-on experience in survey design, sampling, weighting, or primary data collection.

  • Expertise in observational causal inference techniques or quasi-experimental methods (e.g., regression discontinuity, instrumental variables).

  • Exposure to qualitative research methods such as interviews, focus groups, or usability studies.
