Phoenix Women’s Aid is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and enthusiastic Charity Shop Assistant to join our team. This role supports the daily operation of our charity shop, providing excellent customer service and assisting with stock and administrative tasks. You will work alongside the Charity Shop Coordinator and volunteers to ensure a welcoming and efficient shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities

Support shop operations including sales, stock management, and customer service.

Assist customers and handle enquiries with professionalism.

Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised shop floor with attractive displays.

Help volunteers with transaction processing and stock replenishment.

Sensitively assist clients accessing donated goods through crisis vouchers.

Perform administrative duties such as data entry and filing.

Work collaboratively to create a positive shop atmosphere and resolve customer issues as needed.
Requirements

Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.

Basic IT skills (POS systems, Microsoft Office).

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Flexible, proactive approach to work and problem-solving.

Available Mondays and Fridays, with some flexibility for additional shifts.
