About the Role: Guest Service Assistant

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Guest Service Assistant to join our friendly team at the Holiday Inn Lincoln, part of the Kew Green Hotels group. Whether you’re greeting guests with a smile, handling check-ins and check-outs, or supporting food and beverage service, your mission is simple: deliver an outstanding experience to every guest, every time.

This is a varied, front-facing role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and has a genuine passion for customer service. You’ll be a key part of the team, reporting directly to the Guest Service Manager, and working closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction is always a top priority.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience

  • Support hotel operations to meet brand and company standards

  • Build rapport with guests, respond to their needs, and tailor your service accordingly

  • Recognize and deliver VIP treatment to repeat guests, loyalty members, and important visitors

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, high-quality service

  • Maintain strong product knowledge of IHG hotels and services across the region

  • Actively promote the hotel’s amenities, services, and the IHG brand during guest interactions

Note: This position may also be referred to as Front Office Assistant, Food and Beverage Assistant, Guest Experience Assistant, or Hotel Services Assistant in other businesses.

 What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment (preferred but not essential)

  • A strong sense of hospitality and a passion for delivering excellent service

  • The ability to read guest needs and anticipate requirements proactively

  • Confidence using a range of technology systems, including Microsoft Office

  • A team-focused attitude with the flexibility to work across departments if needed
